Today is my dog Winnie's birthday! As a dog lover you know the feeling... I want to hug my dog all day! I am so grateful to have her. If I could speak "dog" this is what I would say to her:

14 years ago your showed up with your nose to a world full of surprises. Scents, sounds and colors filled your world with adventures and places to explore. Your first years were not easy, but God put you in our way and with that loving face and illuminated eyes, you conquered my mom, she rescued you and brought you to live with her. I thank God that we have shared with you most of your life. Years have passed and it seems that you have more than 80 in “dog years”… but your soul remains intact. I see you and I don’t see a dog, I just see you! Winnie. You are our angel! Happy birthday Winnie!

There she is, Winnie sitting or relaxing at my side, always listening and watching. She understands and replies in her own way. My dreams, my failures, my successes, my adventures... everything! I also like to listen to her dreams and I am so amazed to hear how happy she is...

Can you picture those eyes staring at you like the end of the world is coming if you don't share your lunch with your dog? You look down and there he is… "please, just a piece!". I must confess that some times my mom and I can't resist and Winnie finally gets a piece or two of our delicious meal.

Dogs are curious, they explore, smell, chase and never stop until they find what they are looking for. Winnie knows when a cat is passing by, or when her ball is under the bed, or a spider is playing behind the sofa. If she tells me there is something going on... I know she is right! If dogs could talk, they would say: "never stop being curious...! "What do you love about your dog? What special thing he does to tell you "Hey! look!" ?
